This year for my gratitude give back project I’ve chosen to partner with The Unforgotten Haven in Blackwood, NJ, to assist with the project, Snack Packs for Chemo.

The Unforgotten Haven is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to help the less fortunate and those in need.

Snack Packs for Chemo are snack bags for adults going through chemotherapy. The packs will be disbursed to cancer centers where chemotherapy infusion takes place.

Currently, The Unforgotten Haven is partnered with MD Anderson (Voorhees, Willingboro, and Camden, NJ), Penn Medicine Virtua (Voorhees NJ), Abramson Cancer Center (Cherry Hill NJ), Atlantic Care, Jefferson Comprehensive Cancer (Sewell NJ) Lindenberg Cancer Center (Marlton NJ) Comprehensive Cancer Center, Penn Medicine-Abramson Cancer Center (Philadelphia PA), Fox Chase Cancer Center (Philadelphia PA) Southern Oncology (Vineland NJ) Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center (Sewell NJ) and The Minnitti Center (Mickleton NJ).

The items to be included in the snack packs have been selected specifically for the patients, and consist of various food and drink items, along with a chap stick/lip balm, tissues, and hand written note of encouragement.

As some of you know, my Mom experienced cancer for 15 years before making her transition back to the non physical.  We’ve all been touched by cancer in some way, and we’re all aware of how hard it is for the ones going through it to stay positive when times feel everything but.  These snack packs and notes of encouragement are small but mighty reminders that the world IS a kind and loving place, and even when times feel hard, there is support, love, hope, kindness and encouragement all around us.

I know this small gesture of making and distributing snack packs for individuals undergoing chemotherapy might not change the world, but it can in fact change the day, or even the moment for the ones receiving the bags, and that’s a lot. I am excited to be able to spread some love to those who can use it.  With your help, we can do that! You’d be surprised at how big small acts of kindness are to the ones receiving them.  If we practice kindness more often, we can ultimately change the world.

Please consider helping with this cause by making a monetary donation to Snack Packs for Chemo at:

Any size donation is greatly appreciated.

The donations will be used to purchase the food, drink, supplies and necessary materials to prep and assemble the snack packs for Chemo and notes of encouragement.  The more money we raise, the more snack packs we can make.

I will be offering a volunteer opportunity to assist in assembling the chemo snack pack bags and writing the notes of encouragement on Sunday December 3, 2023 from 4:30 – 6:30pm for local friends who want to help.

Space is limited and everyone who wants to volunteer must register with me prior to December 3rd.

Message me or email @

Support@jillianlaudano.com if you’re interested.

Please share this post with your friends and family to help raise funds for this wonderful cause. The more money we raise, the more bags we can make and distribute to those who can use some love and encouragement.  Together we CAN make a difference 🙏

Thank you for your consideration.

** Please note that if you’re experiencing a cold or are feeling unwell on 12/3/23 you cannot participate in assembling the bags.

We want to spread love to our friends receiving chemotherapy, not colds.

Thank you in advance for your thoughtfulness and cooperation.

Love and light to you!
